Since the human body is unable to produce omega-3 fatty acids such as eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) itself, these must be supplied by our diet. Significant amounts of EPA and DHA can only be found in certain kinds of cold-water fish (e.g. mackerel, herring, or salmon). More often than not, fish is consumed less frequently than – in accordance with the recommendation of the German Nutrition Society – twice a week. The EPA and DHA intake in Germany falls below the amount recommended by experts.
Each Omega-3 Fish Oil Capsule contains 500 mg high-quality salmon oil with an unsaturated fatty acid content of at least 30% (18% EPA and 12% DHA), combined with 5 mg natural vitamin E. The capsules are well tolerated and suitable for everybody seeking to efficiently improve their supply of omega-3 fatty acids.
